7/13/2023 0 Comments Bomba socks for women![]() They fit my feet perfectly, so I would feel comfortable saying that Bombas socks run true to size. Naturally, I ordered the smallest option. Nothing is worse than having an ill-fitted sock rub or awkwardly bunch up during a workout. Do Bombas Socks Run True To Size?Īs someone with tiny feet (I typically wear a women’s size 5 or 5.5 depending on the brand), it’s vital to find socks that fit properly. Not only do they fulfill all the necessary features for a good running sock, they’re just plain comfy. Six months after testing, they’re still the socks I reach for again and again. (The Original Ankle socks are $13 per pair.) But after testing them extensively, I’m OK with the price. At $16.50 a pop, Bombas are certainly on the pricier, high-end side, even compared to other Bombas products. The brand also promises “Strategic Zone Cushioning” (basically, light cushioning around the toes and heel with a supportive band around the foot arch) and “Airflow Venting” (a type of stitching in the mid-foot section of the sock that lets cool air in). They’re made up of Bombas’ performance Hex Tec fabric, or a blend of 51% polyester, 33% nylon, 4% spandex, and 12% cotton. I tested the ankle socks, which are the most popular option. In specs: The women’s performance socks come in sizes small (intended to fit women’s shoe sizes 4-7.5), medium (8-10.5), and large (11-13) and no-show, ankle, calf, and knee-high lengths. With all this hype, I was looking forward to trying the performance running socks for myself-and pitting them against some other top-rated brands. After 20 hours of research and testing, and pounding out 56 miles of test runs, Bombas’ Performance Running Ankle Socks ($16.50 a pair) made my choosy feet the happiest. Maybe not too much, though, because we’ve done a lot of the thinking for you in a big, comprehensive test of women’s running socks. If you do, it’s probably for the wrong reasons-maybe they’re slipping around, rubbing against your ankle, creating hot spots and blisters.īut before you head out (or in, if you’re using a treadmill), you should think about your socks. One thing you probably don’t want to think about are your socks. When you run, you can think about a lot of things: Your pace, the music you’re listening to, your scenery and surroundings, the guidance of your running app trainer, whether or not you should stop to get some coffee or a snack on the way home. They've taken over my sock drawer for being the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet-sometimes I'll even wear them just to lounge around at home or to bed because they're just that comfortable.Everything featured on The Nessie is independently selected and rigorously tested. That's also the reason they're probably more costly than most socks you've purchased in the past.įor me, they're totally worth it. So, for every sock you purchase, one is donated to the homeless community. Socks are the most in-demand item at shelters, which is why that's their signature item. ![]() The entire Bombas brand was actually created to help provide clothing to the homeless community. It's a brand I feel good about supporting. The high-quality cotton is sweat-wicking, which keeps my normally sweaty feet dry and blister-free in these. I haven't gotten a single blister since I started wearing these several months ago, which is saying a lot for me. I also tend to get blisters on the rest of my feet after long runs and walks in hot weather, and these are great for preventing those, too. I'm super blister-prone on my ankles, and most socks claiming to be blister-proof have done nothing for me. Nothing ruins the high of getting a new pair of shoes like them destroying your ankles with blisters while you break them in. Not only are these socks totally seamless, they're budge-proof, so you won't have to bend down to adjust yourself mid-adrenaline rush. If they're not doing that, the seam is instead moving around in my shoe while I'm walking or running (that's not just me, right?). My feet are wider than average, so most of the time, I feel like the seam of athletic socks stretch uncomfortably across my toes. The super soft fabric is made of extra-long staple cotton which essentially just means that the socks have a lot of stretch to them. The honeycomb-patterned stretch on the arch of these socks really form-fits to the unique shape of your foot for a true hug-like feel. If physical touch is your love language, you're in for a treat. $13 at Bombas Credit: Courtesy They're like a hug for your feet.
